"You?" He looked at his brother in horror. "I thought you were dead...why are you here?"

Eideard smiled at his governor and then at the governor's daughter. "Hail, sir and madam," he said grandly. He felt a tad bored here and he would not have minded leaving the party for an errand or something. He wasn't used to formal parties and he didn't think he would ever grow used to them.
He noticed that Miss Grace looked rather tense and all... her face reflected how Eideard himself felt at the moment. He picked up a glass of purple wine and took a delicate sip. He choked a little and couldn't figure out what it was; he had never had anything like it before.

John looked at his friend commodore infront of him with a smile, watching him as he took a glass of purple wine...it looked tasty he thought, maybe he should get some also later on but not yet since he didnt want to smell wine threw the whole banquet. "So commodore, how are you this day...everything been going fine I hope." He asked kindly as he watched him then his daughter for a moment.

Grace took a deep breath. All this formal keeping, was beginning to mess with her nerves and her mind. It would probably be best to get some fresh air, she waited patiently for a break in the speech her father was having and then quietly spoke, "Excuse me father, I am going outside. I think I need some air," she nodded her head to the Commodore, and with a sweep of her gown began walking to the outside court.

"What do you mean?" he demanded trying in vain to pull himself from his brothers grasp. Jean had always been the stronger one. "You know i would never do such a thing, pirates are to be imprisoned to kissed, brother. Who told you this?"

Pain lanced down his arm as Jean relased him. It was a fool hardy thing to do but fear for himself and for Helena drove him on. He pulled his brother back into the alcove. "There isn't anyone...and even if there was what concern would it be of you'res and what...what would you do about it?" he asked falteringly.

"Its not like that" he hissed, giveing up all pretence in his desperation. "She's not like that." But now he was really scared. he hadn't thought about it really when he's met Helena, he hadn't really thought anything apart from how much he wanted her. Suddenly he grabbed his brother as hard as he could; which by all accounts wasn't very hard. Tristan was a diplomat and a fencer, not a soldier. "You're not going to tell him...are you?" He tried to keep his voice calm, but now in his moemnt of terror it was immpossible not to hear the panic.

John nodded to his daughter with a smile as she excused herself for a moment, he knew she didnt like company much but wanted her most to be there to meet new people. He agreed to that she could go outside and get some fresh air, as she did he watched her for a moment then turned back looking at the commadore with a smile then suddenly they could hear some arguing in the distance."Oh my...seems like someone are arguing?" He watched the two couriously.

Grace moved herself outside, and sat on the steps. She watched the surroundings, carefully, and concentrated on all about her. She couldn't handle being formal, even in large crowds. It was way much better, being alone with nature.
